Love Poems for Her

She Would be Mine

The first time I saw her,
My heart began to pound.
She giggled and said hi,
But my tongue could not be found.

Embarrassed and disappointed,
I came to my decision.
To make her mine one day,
Would require planning and precision.

The first few times I failed,
But learned from my mistake.
Once I built up the nerve,
It was a piece of cake.

All I had to do,
Was get past my frustration.
And talk to her with confidence,
Engage in a conversation.

When I look back now,
So many years ago.
I would be lost today,
If you would've said no.

I Love YOU!
