He sat upon the porch swingIn his twilight years. His thoughts just drifted slowlyTo his bygone years. In youth he joined the navyTravelled many landsServing for his countryA story in his hands. He took a wife in later lifeWho bore him three fine boys,Their home was filled with laughterAs they played with their toys. The nest they flew as they were grownWhere did the years go?Now it is the grandkidsThey give his heart a glow. His twilight years upon himMemories oh so manyWould he ever change things?Regrets,he has not any. ©2008 By Foxylady.
